Rockets Game Notes vs. Ice

Tonight’s Preview: This is the one and only meeting between these two teams this season. Yes, the Rockets won’t play in Cranbrook this year. The Ice haven’t played at Prospera Place since March 15, 2006 in a 1-0 road win. Kootenay should visit more often considering they have had success in this building. Since the start of the 2000-2001 campaign the Rockets are just 4-7-0-0 with one tie in the last 12 games against the Ice at Skyreach Place/Prospera Place. The Rockets open a portion of their schedule tonight playing four straight games on home ice. That includes a game tomorrow night against the Prince George Cougars before visits with Kamloops and Portland next weekend. The Rockets enter tonight’s game having recorded a point in 11 of their last 12 games (8-1-1-2), having out-scored the opposition 40-25 over that period. The Rockets are coming off a 6-1 loss in Tri City Wednesday night. The Americans erupted for 6 straight goals in the second period in the win. Kyle St. Denis scored the lone goal for the Rockets, who were 0/5 on the power play. The Rockets enter tonight’s game having won 3 straight on home ice, with points in 5 straight (3-0-1-1).
