Rockets Game Notes vs. Blazers

Tonight’s Preview: The Rockets face the Blazers for the 8th and final time this season. The Rockets are 3-3-0-1 in the first seven games, having out-scored the Blazers 29-22 in the seasonal series. The Rockets are 3-1-0-0 on home ice, out-scoring Kamloops 22-10, yet are 0-2-0-1 in three appearances at Interior Savings Centre, having been out-scored 12-7 in the process. The Rockets last regulation win in Kamloops came November 14/06 in a 5-4 victory. The Rockets are coming off a 6-3 loss last Saturday in Chilliwack. Colin Long had two assists in the loss, while Tyson Barrie, Lucas Bloodoff and Myles MacRae added goals in the Rockets second straight loss. Overall the Rockets are 1-3-1-0 in their last five games. Following tonight’s game the Rockets play 6 of their next eight games on home ice. The Rockets host Chilliwack tomorrow night.

Giving Up To Many: The Rockets have given up 15 goals in their last two games. The last time the Rockets gave up 15 goals in back-to-back games was October 11/97 in a 9-9 tie with Tri City followed by a 6-2 loss six night’s later against Swift Current.

Quick Hits: The Rockets have lost two straight heading into tonight’s game in Kamloops. It’s just the third time this season the Rockets have lost back-to-back games. When was the last time? The team fell December 28th (4-3 to Kamloops) and December 29th (5-2 to Vancouver)…The Rockets longest losing streak this season is just three games. The Rockets were 2-1 losers to Spokane October 13th, before falling 4-3 to Everett on October 19th. The Rockets then dropped a 4-3 decision to Spokane October 20th.
