Rockets On The Road

If hockey doesn't work out for Rockets defenseman Colin Joe, maybe a career in radio is his calling. I gave C-Joe my MP3 recorder and let him interview a couple of the boys on our way down to the Tri Cities. The edited version will be heard on our radio broadcast tomorrow night or on this blog. I say the word 'edited', as some of the comments between the boys were just not radio worthy. The pic is C-Joe in action talking to defenseman Tysen Dowzak.
Teammates chilling on the iron lung. Rockets defenseman Riley McIntosh and rookie forward Jesse Paradis watching the world go by on today's trip to Kennewick. The six hour trip may become routine, as the Rockets could meet the Americans in round one of the playoffs.

If you enjoy these pics on the bus - great - but they are the last you will see of them this season. The playoffs are around the corner and my camera won't be seeing the inside of the bus. No I have not been asked by the coaches or management to get rid of the camera, but I think after 14 years in this league I get the general idea that with the playoffs just around the corner these guys need their privacy. That said, I will take pics of the players on the road in the opening round playoff series, but not on the bus or in the dressing room.

Thanks for the pictures Regan, I haven't seen many close ups of the boys lately, they look happy but tired! The long season has defifinely taken its toll, either that or they all had a dose of nyquil, ha! ha!

The boys are upbeat, but fatigue is a playing a factor as we head to the regular season finish line. 72 games is a looooooooong schedule. To finally have a health lineup again is nice, so I anticipate a strong performance this weekend against the Americans and Cougars. Let's hope the team follows the same path as last year by finishing the regular season off with back-to-back wins.
