Great trade for the Rocket's, toughness was definetly lacking. What do you think of the Blazer's trading Ross & Rodger's to of all teams the " GIANTS "? Are they Loopie!! (no pun intended)! But trading those guy's to a team in their own division is assinine! Gee I wonder if Bonner still washes Hay's underwear too!!
Looks like Backlund is Official Regan...

Now what to do with one of our Euro's? I smell another 1 or 2 maybe even 3 trades brewing
I think it's a great trade for the Giants. Can you say depth. Plus they didn't have to shed anyone from the roster they have this season. A good trade for the Giants now...the trade will only look good for the Blazers if they select wisely at the bantam draft table.
Holy crap. Ross is a good defenceman. I have always thought he was good. Now that Van has him...It certainly looks likes Lethbridge, Calgary ( Broda...)
and Van are really going for it.
We will need Backland and a defenceman and maybe even a goalie to even be in the same race with those teams, otherwise if we are not going all the way maybe we should deal Benn or Long and few others for a strong future ?? Regan what is your take on all this. Those teams I mentioned are really adding to their lineups eh ??
All I know is the playoffs are going to be fun to watch this year. Beach and Broda with new teams, the Giants add more depth, and will the Chiefs and Americans stay quiet? The next 48 hours are going to be fun.
I say we follow through with the plans of snagging Yonkman and Molle from Swift Current for Lazaruk, Matejka/Novotny, and a pick (or a similar deal) and meet the Giants head on in the playoffs as the bigger, stronger and meaner team.
Attrition warefare, baby.
