Ten questions yet to be answered

#10 When are the Anaheim Ducks going to announce they've signed Rockets forward Brandon McMillan?
#9) Will Lorne Frey select a defenceman with his first pick in this month's Western Hockey League bantam draft? Frey has picked a forward in three straight drafts (Moffatt 2007/McColgan 2008/Siebert 2009), yet has won league championships with Barrie (2006) and Myers (2005).
#8) Who will be the Rockets three 20 year-old's next season? Evan Bloodoff, Tyler Matheson, Kyle St. Denis and Geordie Wudrick are all eligible to return.
#7) Will Kyle St. Denis return to the Rockets lineup next season? Or are the series of concussions career ending?
#6) Who challenges Adam Brown for the starting goaltending duties with the Rockets next season?

#5) Does Brett Bulmer get drafted in the 3rd round of the NHL draft this summer? Two months ago Bulmer was projected to go anywhere from the 4th to the 6th round. The last Rockets player to be drafted in the 3rd round was Brandon McMillan ((2008).
#4) Who is the Rockets captain next season? Isn't Tyson Barrie the automatic choice if he indeed returns for his 19 year-old season?
#3) Regardless of where Barrie plays, does he not wear Canadian colours at the World Junior Hockey Championships next Christmas?
#2) Will Shane McColgan be named the WHL rookie of the year at the league's annual awards banquet later this month in Edmonton?
#1) Do pro teams look at filling out their assistant coaching positions this summer by seriously looking at Ryan Huska? This upcoming coach has to get some consideration. Huska just completed his third season behind the Rockets bench after taking over the helm in 2007.

Here's a #11... Will the Rockets acquire any European players or continue to stick with North Americans?

I've often wondered if the Hamilton's prefer to put their time and resources into kids on this side of the water ... any thoughts?
A promising young European goalie to back-up Adam might be a good fit here?

You can add the question...will Teemu Pulkkinen, the Rockets 1st round pick in last summers CHL Euro draft join the team next season?

Why would you imply Barrie may play somewhere other than Kelowna? You think he makes Colorado and if he does, they would release him for Team Canada? Not sure what you are getting at.

Anyone and everyone better challenge Brown, I think he proved he is not capable of the number 1 job. (check his draft status to prove it)

Why would he draft a defenseman first since the experts rave about how these current youngsters are our future.

Would be great to have St Denis back but seems doubtful, plus he is not a reliable guy in terms of lasting much more than 30 games so Bruce is hopefully planning on someone else. If Geordie doesnt return and Kyle is a no-go than we will have Evan and 2 empty spots.

I get the impression Pulkkinen is more than likely coming next year, its just a matter of clearing up the compensation for him to be released from the remaining yr on the contract.

I cant imagine Aschim, Matheson and maybe even Brown being asked back next year.

Tyler Matheson shouldn't be back, worst player i ever seen play on the rockets in years

#10 When are the Anaheim Ducks going to announce they've signed Rockets forward Brandon McMillan?

I would assume he has not been signed yet as it seems all the other players who were still playing in the playoffs who have been signed were announced.

I think we are good on defence right now with a very bright future with Jobke and Chapman

#8) Who will be the Rockets three 20 year-old's next season? Evan Bloodoff, Tyler Matheson, Kyle St. Denis and Geordie Wudrick are all eligible to return.

Evan, Wudrick, Player TBD

#7) Will Kyle St. Denis return to the Rockets lineup next season? Or are the series of concussions career ending?

He's doneski.

#6) Who challenges Adam Brown for the starting goaltending duties with the Rockets next season?

Chad Ketting

#5) Does Brett Bulmer get drafted in the 3rd round of the NHL draft this summer? Two months ago Bulmer was projected to go anywhere from the 4th to the 6th round. The last Rockets player to be drafted in the 3rd round was Brandon McMillan ((2008).

I assume early 3rd, late 2nd

#4) Who is the Rockets captain next season? Isn't Tyson Barrie the automatic choice if he indeed returns for his 19 year-old season?

Barrie if he returns, if not, Evan Bloodoff.

#3) Regardless of where Barrie plays, does he not wear Canadian colours at the World Junior Hockey Championships next Christmas?

He better!

#2) Will Shane McColgan be named the WHL rookie of the year at the league's annual awards banquet later this month in Edmonton?

Here's hoping.

#1) Do pro teams look at filling out their assistant coaching positions this summer by seriously looking at Ryan Huska? This upcoming coach has to get some consideration. Huska just completed his third season behind the Rockets bench after taking over the helm in 2007.

I don't think Huska is ready for the big time yet.

St Denis should not come back. After that many concussions it would not be very wise.

Matheson better not be back as I agree he is the worst I have seen in a long time. He isn't even a good fighter, which brings me to ask besides Callehan we could use some muscle.

I think Brandon McMillan could be in a Rockets uniform next year. It isn't that unlikely is it ??

MG...Brandon's time here is done...there's no benefit for his career at this level... if the AHL will hang onto Colin Long ( a one dimensional player ) they will most definately hang onto a player like Brandon who can play every position on the ice ( maybe even goalie, who knows! :) ) Barrie should be back because he's too young for the AHL but I expect him too play with the AVs for their exibition season for sure and maybe even some of their regular season ( as we all know he can play 10 regular season games )
Ryan...Brown will be back for sure in the starting spot at least until someone can step up and take it from him... he has some things to prove here and will be fine but I think he'll have to work hard in the off season to get in better shape... I think St. Denis expects to be back show that he can play a full season...I hope he does because I would love to see what him and McColgan could do on the powerplay together... throw in Pulkkinen and look out

... Divad ...Regan has provided us with an opportunity to blog about something we "fans" enjoy discussing... I for one am well aware that the season is over but I still enjoy talking hockey... especially now that the real season is just getting going in the bigs... My question to you is why would you be on this blog if in your mind there's nothing left to discuss? I, at least, have a reason to be here! Regards! And thx Regan!

#10 When are the Anaheim Ducks going to announce they've signed Rockets forward Brandon McMillan?
-->les canards va l'annoncer, on’l sai. ils peuvent peut-être berner le public, mais pas nous. =)

-->c'est son décision, seulement LORNE l’sait, n'essaye pas de berner vous mêmes par juste deviner. =)

#8) Who will be the Rockets three 20 year-old's next season? Evan Bloodoff, Tyler Matheson, Kyle St. Denis and Geordie Wudrick are all eligible to return.
-->kyle NE RETOURNE PAS, c'est pas sécure pour son petite tête mignonne! =)

#7) Will Kyle St. Denis return to the Rockets lineup next season? Or are the series of concussions career ending?

#6) Who challenges Adam Brown for the starting goaltending duties with the Rockets next season?
-->tony has it. =)

#5) Does Brett Bulmer get drafted in the 3rd round of the NHL draft this summer? Two months ago Bulmer was projected to go anywhere from the 4th to the 6th round. The last Rockets player to be drafted in the 3rd round was Brandon McMillan ((2008).
-->bien que bulmer a des mains douces, il a beaucoup de potentiel. mais, il doit devenir plus fort, il est un peu comme un nouille à ce moment. =)

#4) Who is the Rockets captain next season? Isn't Tyson Barrie the automatic choice if he indeed returns for his 19 year-old season?
-->j'espère que oui, il est un chef magnifique. Chef comme capitaine, et chef comme cuisineur. (c’est un calembour) =)

#3) Regardless of where Barrie plays, does he not wear Canadian colours at the World Junior Hockey Championships next Christmas?
-->ABSOLUMENT!! FRANCHEMENT POUR NE PAS LUI CHOISIR CETTE ANNEE!! =)

#2) Will Shane McColgan be named the WHL rookie of the year at the league's annual awards banquet later this month in Edmonton?
-->il est vraiment bon, mais il laisse du salive dans le coulloir. il y a des autres mieux que lui, qui ne laisse pas de salive. =)

#1) Do pro teams look at filling out their assistant coaching positions this summer by seriously looking at Ryan Huska? This upcoming coach has to get some consideration. Huska just completed his third season behind the Rockets bench after taking over the helm in 2007.
-->non, ryan huska n'est pas prêt pour cette position, car il doit être plus mature. Donc il doit arrêté d'apporter son chien en peluche avec lui. =)
