Game notes vs. Bruins

Tonight’s Preview: The Kelowna Rockets are meeting the Chilliwack Bruins for the seventh time this season. The Rockets are 2-0-0-1 in three meetings at Prospera Place and 1-2-0-0 at Prospera Centre. Overall the Rockets have out-scored the Bruins 26-22 in the first six games. These two teams wrap up the seasonal series March 13th in Chilliwack. The Rockets open a three game home stand tonight against the Bruins. Tomorrow night the Lethbridge Hurricanes pay a visit before welcoming Tri City next Wednesday. The Rockets enter the game riding a four game winning streak. Over that period the Rockets have out-scored their opponent 14-7. Kelowna has not allowed a power play goal in three straight games (13 for 13).

Rockets recent game: Evan Bloodoff scored his 20th and 21st goals of the season in the Rockets 6-2 road win in Kamloops Wednesday night. The Rockets erupted for four-second period goals in their 37th win of the season and 19th road victory. Cody Chikie, Tyrell Goulbourne, Geordie Wudrick and Mitchell Callahan also scored. Adam Brown made 25 saves as the Rockets went 2 for 3 on the power play.

Who’s Hot: Colton Sissons has 14 points (5+9=14) in his last eight games….Geordie Wudrick has 12 points (8+4=12) in his last eight games. Brett Bulmer has points in eleven of his last 15 games…Tyson Barrie hasn’t scored in 18 games…his longest scoring drought of his career. Barrie didn’t score in 15 consecutive games as a WHL rookie in 2007-2008.

This and That: The Rockets scored 38 goals in February. Of those 38 goals, the line of Geordie Wudrick, Colton Sissons and Evan Bloodoff scored 21 of them….Sissons led the Rockets in points in February with 7+7=14… The Rockets have 19 road wins this season.
